The Djeran Camp is an Aboriginal Christian Youth Camp and it runs for a week and YWAM and Djeran staff run the camp with lots of sports, music, crafts, games, adventure, sharing of God’s Word, testimonies, and inspirational speakers. There was a Noongar Elders welcome and address, much hanging out, and of course great food shared! The camp was so excellent that the kids didn’t want to come home and MK staff and Djeran staff didn’t want it to end there and so we have now decided in partnership to run a breakfast named ‘ Moorditj Merenj’ (good food). The camp will run once a month and it’s a time of coming together and supporting the youth, building the family, the tribe of Champions for Jesus. youth breakfast So for the first breakfast WYAM cooked up a feast of sausages, bacon, eggs, pancakes, fruit, yoghurt, toast, vegemite, jam, honey, cereals, milk, OJ.
